Pros and Cons of Online Learning

At one point or another every student wishes that they could forget the school life and live in a never-ending summer break. With online learning students forget the pressure of siting in a classroom.

Instead of waking up before the sun rise in the burden of reaching the school on time, students can have a nice breakfast or may sleep till the time of the online class. Thanks to modern technology that students can take classes at times of such pandemic from the comfort of our own homes.
While once online courses were once deemed inferior to lecture halls. The stigma has seemed to fade as the developing technology has became a greater and greater part of our academic curriculum. The basic requirements in the virtual class rooms are clearly delineated and meeting deadlines can be scheduled as per the student’s convenience. Students taking online classes can learn  in a way that benefits them. Online learning can help students harness their strengths and minimize the weaknesses. At this time during lockdown it is best time for students to polish their skills. Shy students do not have to worry about being penalized for speaking up.
Some teachers have chosen not to teach via online classes, while others do it on regular basis. This allows teacher to explain the topic clearly instead of just pasting the information on students.
Because of corona virus most teachers find themselves helpless  and the teaching remote as it becomes difficult for teachers to teach online with the advanced developing technology.
All things may be true but still we cannot compare the online learning with the learning based on traditional classrooms. But the new reality is that COVID 19 is a serious issue these days which cannot be ignored is increasing dominatingly not just the studies but the day to day work.
So, the thing which cannot be ignored is that the online learning is not as compatible as classroom but it is the only way in which students can study these in quarantine.
But still students have to stare the phones and laptop screens hours and hours so they should get a rest. For some time, the tradition of these online classes can be stopped. They are not as important as the student’s health is and the thing is known by everyone. Rarely there is a person who does not know about the situations faced by the students in quarantine.

One of the biggest causalities of COVID 19 pandemic and the resultant lockdown has been institutional education. Schools have been shut to prevent the spread of corona virus and this has given the way to online classrooms a very new concept in India even for the most sophisticated schools.
It is commendable that most of the educational institutions have moved to virtual classrooms such as zoom, google hangouts, Microsoft teams. But still some are struggling to get online. There are teachers and schools putting extra efforts on students in classes by making timetables, shifting discussions online, taking feedback from parents and monitor students constantly.
The teachers sent photos of notes often unclear ones in the WhatsApp groups and expect the children to copy those unclear notes.
Considering that there is a generation heavily dependent on the developing technology. Believe it or not, you will spend more time studying and compelling assignments in the online environment than you will in an on-campus course. The online environment is text-based environment. To communicate with your instructor and other students, you must type messages, post responses and otherwise communicate using typing. As you can probably guess typing is slower than speaking.
In the same sense reading your lecture material can take more time than listening to your instructor explaining the lecture, although spoken lecture has a distinct disadvantage. If you are siting in a class room, it is like that you are missing a good percentage of what instructors say, no matter how focused you are.

It is human tendency, when you are reading something you will have a spirit to go back over the notes if you miss something and that takes more time. The point is that you will likely learn more in online environment, but you will have to make a great effort to accomplish that learning.
The environment of online classroom is much different atmosphere that takes some getting used to. Hopefully your online instructor is sensitive to this problem and can help you overcome those feelings. In a case you should be aware of them and seek help if they start to impede your studies.
By the time a student enters the community college, they want to be independent. They do not want someone telling them what to do around the clock. It is a sink or swim proposition and you can not have it both ways. If you desire to become a responsible, self-sufficient, independent minded citizen to this planet, the now that is the time to start. Life is not a dress rehearsal.
Soft skills in graduates such as collaboration inspiration and intellectual sparing which may be better developed in a physical classroom rather than an online course classroom. Staying motivated and keeping up with assignments may prove more difficult for online students rather than the physical class students.
Nothing can take place of the physical classroom, but online classrooms are also a good place to interact to the instructor in these adverse times of this pandemic COVID 19.
